The Southwark Teaching School Alliance consists of a wide variety of partners drawn from across the education sector. The alliance was established in 2015 and are passionately committed to working towards a shared vision.
Our aim is to work with all schools to recruit, train, and develop teachers, leaders and system leaders to meet the needs of all Southwark pupils. We will work with all partners to go beyond competition, actively building trust to enable genuine partnership work.
In order to meet our aims the work of the alliance is divided into key areas which are led by strategic leads.

All schools who would like to join the Southwark Teaching School Alliance can benefit from our effective support to improve learning outcomes for pupils and continued professional development (CPD) of teachers and potential teachers.
As an alliance we will work together with all partner schools to ensure the very best for each school’s pupils and to support schools in developing expertise and capacity to be able to become full contributors to all areas of STSA’s work.
11 February 2026: Governance briefings summarised how peer review cycles pair with practical room resets when schools host visiting leaders.
In June 2025: Vision workshops asked middle leaders to map CPD venues and the kit that needs moving between host sites.
Autumn 2023: Partners logged which community rooms work best for joint training after classroom furniture is re-laid.
